Servings: 12
(pigs in a blanket)
- 1 box gluten free puff pastry, defrosted per package directions (I used Schar)
- 48 gluten free cocktail-sized weenies (I used mini smoked sausages)
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 large egg
- Coarse sea salt or sea salt flakes
(optional honey mustard dipping sauce)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Preheat oven to 400°F. Remove pastry from packaging. Cut triangles (pizza cutter works well), 24 for each roll, for a total of 48. Add a cocktail hot dog to the longest side of the pastry triangle and roll it up.
Make an egg wash. Beat egg and water in a small bowl until combined using a fork.
Brush egg wash over hot dogs and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Meanwhile, if desired, make a honey mustard dipping sauce (or alternatively, just buy honey mustard for dipping). Mix ingredients together in a small bowl until fully combined. Serve.
