It also happens to be a sneaky “looks fancy but took 5 minutes” recipe…which is basically my favorite kind of entertaining.
Why You’ll Love This Easy Dessert Dip
This easy dessert dip is no bake + fast! It comes together in about 5 minutes (then chill time does the rest).
It has a light, fluffy texture: whipped cream makes it feel like a cheesecake mousse. Plus, it made with real strawberries and diced berries add fresh flavor and texture.
It’s party-perfect: great for boards, showers, holidays, and last-minute hosting. And easy to customize: swap the swirl, toppings, and dippers for different seasons and occasions.

Seasonal Serving Swaps (The Perfect Dip for Any Entertaining Occasion)
One dip, 3 holidays (and…unlimited occasions). Here are my favorite ways to style this strawberry cheesecake dip so it feels custom for the occasion without changing the actual recipe.
Valentine’s Day (Cute + Romantic)
Serve in a heart-shaped bowl or on a pink/red platter. Top with extra strawberry swirl + shaved chocolate and fresh strawberry slices. Add a sprinkle of crushed freeze-dried strawberries or pink/red (heart) sprinkles for a pop.
Dippers: chocolate squares, shortbread cookies, strawberry slices, marshmallows.
Easter (Pastel + Brunch Worthy)
Swirl the preserves lightly so it looks “marbled.” Top with a few whole strawberries + pastel candies (optional) and/or crushed graham crumbs. Serve it alongside fruit and waffle/pancake dippers if it’s a brunch spread.
Dippers: graham crackers, cinnamon pita chips, fruit, mini waffles/pancake sticks.
Spring Parties + Showers (Bridal + Baby)
Spread the dip onto a platter in a wide swirl (instead of a bowl) for that “event table” look. Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs and pile pretty dippers by color. Keep it airy and elegant: strawberries + shortbread + marshmallows is a vibe.
Dippers: shortbread cookies, graham crackers, marshmallows, fruit, brownie bites.
Strawberry Cheesecake Dip Ingredients
This is a 5-ingredient dip (not counting dippers), and it’s made with super simple staples.

You’ll need: ½ cup heavy cream (whipped to stiff peaks), an 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened (this is the “cheesecake” base), ½ cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional), ½ cup diced strawberries (fresh = best with real strawberries), ¼ cup strawberry pie filling or preserves (for the swirl).
For serving (dippers): Graham crackers, shortbread cookies, chocolate squares, cinnamon pita chips, brownie bites, marshmallows.
*Gluten-free options (easy swaps): The dip itself can be gluten-free depending on the brand of your preserves/pie filling (more on that in the FAQ). To keep serving gluten-free, use: gluten-free graham crackers, gluten-free shortbread or vanilla cookies. fruit (strawberries, apple slices, grapes), marshmallows, and/or gluten-free brownie bites.
How To Make Strawberry Cheesecake Dip

Whip the cream.
eat the heavy cream to stiff peaks (about 2–3 minutes). Set aside.
Mix the cheesecake base.
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla (if using) until smooth and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
Fold it together.
Add the whipped cream and diced strawberries to the cream cheese mixture. Fold gently until combined.
Swirl the strawberry topping.
Transfer to a serving bowl or platter. Spoon the strawberry preserves/pie filling over the top and use a knife to gently swirl.
Finish + serve.
Top with extra strawberries and/or graham cracker crumbs (I used gluten free graham crackers). Serve with your favorite dippers.

Helpful Tips & Substitutions
- Softened cream cheese matters. If it’s too cold, you’ll get lumps. Let it sit out 30–60 minutes first.
- Don’t overmix after folding. Fold gently to keep the dip light and fluffy.
- Want an easier version? You can swap the whipped cream for frozen whipped topping (like Cool Whip) if you want convenience. Use about 2 cups in place of the whipped heavy cream and fold it in the same way.
- Make it more natural/healthier. Instead of pie filling/preserves, puree ½ cup strawberries and use that as your swirl (it’ll be less sweet and fresher).
- Make it extra pretty. Use a wide, shallow bowl or spread it on a platter and create a big swirl for that “party dip board” look.
- Watery strawberries? If your berries are super juicy, pat them dry before folding them in.
FAQS
This dip is best fresh (especially the first time you serve it), but leftovers still taste great. Store it covered in the fridge and enjoy within 2–3 days.
Make-ahead tip (for best texture): If you want to prep it a day early, go ahead and make most of the base (whipped cream + cream cheese mixture) and refrigerate it. Then fold in the diced strawberries and add the strawberry swirl/toppings right before serving. The strawberries can “melt” into the dip overnight and make it a little watery – it’s still delicious, just not as ideal for serving.
Here are my favorite “what to eat with strawberry cheesecake dip” options:
Graham crackers (top choice)
Shortbread cookies
Chocolate squares
Cinnamon pita chips
Brownie bites
Marshmallows
Fresh fruit (strawberries, apple slices, grapes)
The base ingredients (cream cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, strawberries) are gluten free. Verify with your strawberry pie filling or preserves (and any toppings/dippers). To serve it gluten-free, use gluten free graham crackers and cookies or fruit.
Yes, thaw and pat very dry; however, fresh is definitely best for texture.
