Easter Charcuterie Board Appetizer
Make this delicious Easter version or add extra of each item for a full Easter grazing board. You can also serve this as a spring charcuterie board. Versatile and so easy, your Easter party has never been so festive!
How to Make a Spring or Easter Charcuterie Board
Begin by grabbing your favorite charcuterie board. It should be between 9×13 and 12×18 to feed a standard 4-6 people; or go up in size if looking to feed more.
Begin any required prep work; in this case, making any cookies or dip (these were store boughten to save time). Then clean and cut any fruits and vegetables.
Add any items desired to their bowls, in the case of this recipe: veggie dip, honey, jam, olives, jelly beans, and M&Ms. Place on the board. Add bakery items, candy, and crackers to the board. Then, add fruits and/or vegetables.
Create a decorative salami rose if desired, by laying salami over a wine glass edge. Fold salami and pepperoni slices; by folding each piece in half and then in half again for a nice, raised look. Finally, add meats and cheeses to the board; you’ll want these added last so they can stay in the refrigerator as long as possible.
Finish by adding any serving utensils needed such as honey dippers, cheese knives, small serving spoons, etc.
Tools for a Board & How to Choose a Board/Platter
Choose your board based on size! The appearance does not matter as long as you love it. It should, however, be between 9×13 and 12×18 to feed a standard 4-6 people; or go up in size if you’re looking to feed more people.
In terms of tools, you’ll need the board, serving utensils such as honey dippers, cheese knives, and small serving spoons. Finally, grab any pieces you intend to use for decorative purposes such as a wine glass to make the salami rose and Easter/spring cookie cutters to make cute cheese cut outs.
Ingredients for An Easter Charcuterie Board
You can use any standard charcuterie board ingredients you deem necessary. The ingredients listed below make for a very well-rounded board (classic meat and cheese options, dessert options, and healthier fruit and veggie options) with beautiful spring/Easter colors.
Classic Charcuterie Meats & Cheese
Apricot jam and honey are used for accompaniments. A mixture of green and black olives provide nice color. Use 2-3 different shapes of crackers to offer those eating them some options (I used gluten free). For cheese, you’ll need a brie cheese wedge, 1 block of white cheese, cubed, and 3 slices of cheese (+ cookie cutters for fun designs) as an optional garnish. For meat, basic pepperoni and salami slices are a great option (grab extra salami slices if you desire to make a salami rose).
Dessert/Candy Items
Fill the board with your favorite Easter candies and spring cookies. For candy: chick and bunny candies (I used Peeps®), jelly beans, spring color peanut butter cups (I used Reese’s), spring colored chocolate candies (I used M&Ms®), egg candies (I used Cadbury Mini Eggs). And for cookies/desserts: yogurt covered pretzels (I used Glutino®), bunny cookies/graham crackers (I used Annies™ gluten free), and small cookies such as coconut macaroons and meringues.
Fruit
These items make for fun Easter/spring colors: cantaloupe, honeydew, green grapes, red grapes, strawberries, and pineapple. To help with cost, you can also use a pre-cut fruit mix instead of buying each separately.
Vegetables
For this recipe, grab your favorite vegetable dip. You’ll also want spring vegetables: baby cauliflower (are pictured, but regular cauliflower florets also work fine), radishes, and carrots (pictured is a fun colored/mini mix from Trader Joes).
Some fun additions you may also consider adding to your board: edible flowers (to add an additional spring touch), deviled eggs, nuts/pistachios, cucumbers, fruit dip (pink), spring colored chocolate covered strawberries, lemon or Easter spritz cookies, and much, much more.

FAQ
Between 9×13 and 12×18 to feed a standard 4-6 people; or go up in size if looking to feed more.
Charcuterie boards are best prepared right before serving. Some tasks such as making any cookies on the platter, cutting up fruit and/or vegetables, and cutting cheese (refrigerate when done) can be done a few hours in advance.
I’m gluten free as well, so this board was made completely gluten free. Use crackers and pretzels that are gluten free (I used: Schar® Entertainment Crackers and Good Thins Gluten Free). Additionally, I used: Annies™ Gluten Free Bunny Crackers, coconut macaroons and meringues (typically naturally gluten free), Glutino® Yogurt Covered Pretzels. Candy used was jelly beans, Peeps®, (spring color) Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, (spring color) M&Ms®, and Cadbury Mini Eggs.
Add more fruits and vegetables and less cheeses, meats, and desserts/treats.
Cut the meats and vegetables. Double the amounts of sweets and fruits. Replace the vegetable dip with a fruit dip.
If your board has not been sitting out longer than a couple hours, meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables, can be stored in the refrigerator in airtight containers. Cookies, candies, pretzels, and crackers can be added to zipper top plastic baggies and closed tightly.
